Adekunle Gold And Asake Are Among The Nominees For TikTok’s Top Creator Awards 2024

The 2023 Tiktok Top Creator Awards have nominated musicians from Sub-Saharan Africa!

The second edition of the Tiktok Top Creator Awards for Sub-Saharan Africa will take place this year in 2023. The Award ceremony is slated to take place at Vodaword in Midrand, Johannesburg, on February 9, 2024. Numerous categories saw the nomination of over ten artists, musicians, media outlets, and lifestyle curators.

Among the nominees are Asake, Adekunle Gold, Khaid, Pulse Nigeria, and numerous others. These honors provide insight into the upcoming trends in African media and entertainment while also celebrating the successes and creative energy of producers.

TikTok aims to shed light on the artistic expression that propels the industry’s expansion across Africa. TikTok is still controversial in the United States due to its ownership by Chinese business ByteDance, which some see as a security risk.

On US government devices, the software has been outlawed by the Biden administration. Administrators at TikTok deny any claims of snooping on user data, stating that they have strict security measures in place.

The amount that the app pays Universal Music GroupUMG.AS for the usage of music by Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and other artists is another point of contention. As of Friday, several Universal artists’ music was not available on TikTok.
