See Full List Of Nominees And Winners For BET Hip-Hop Awards 2023

Kendrick Lamar was the biggest winner of the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, taking home four prizes. The ceremony was held at Atlanta’s Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center on October 3 and was televised on Tuesday night, October 10. Along with his colleague Dave Free, the rapper won hip hop artist of the year, lyricist of the year, best live performer, and video director of the year, sweepstaking every category in which he was nominated.

Many artists took home two awards, including Lil Durk feat. J. Cole (best collaboration and impact track for “All My Life”), Lil Uzi Vert (song of the year and best hip hop video for “Just Wanna Rock”), Metro Boomin (producer of the year and DJ of the year), Drake & 21 Savage (hip hop album of the year for Her Loss and best duo or group), and many more. With 12 nominations apiece, Cardi B and 21 Savage were the front-runners going into the night; Savage won the two categories above, while Cardi was eliminated. Sexyy Red, GloRilla, City Girls, and DaBaby performed at the Fat Joe-hosted awards show. LL Cool J and Rakim paid tribute to Marley Marl, who was honoured with the night’s I Am Hip Hop Award. So Def celebrated their 30th anniversary with Lil Jon, Ludacris, Nelly, Chingy, Bow Wow, Da Brat, and other celebrities.
