Aesop Rock to Reissue the Classic 2002 “Daylight” EP with Rhymesayers This March

Aesop Rock, the distinguished figure in underground hip-hop, is set to reissue his classic 2002 EP, “Daylight,” through Rhymesayers Entertainment on March 29. For the first time, the complete original tracklist will be available on 12″ vinyl, alongside CD and cassette formats, featuring seven songs plus a hidden track. This marks a significant release for fans and collectors, as the EP was previously available in an abridged vinyl version and fully only on CD and digital platforms.
The “Daylight” EP, initially released following the success of Aesop Rock’s critically acclaimed album “Labor Days,” includes the seminal track “Daylight” from the album. The EP is celebrated for exploring contrasting themes, most notably through the inclusion of “Night Light,” a song that serves as a conceptual counterpoint to “Daylight,” featuring paraphrased lyrics over a darker production. The upcoming reissue will feature a two-colour side A/B effect on orange and blue vinyl, chosen to complement the original artwork. Additionally, a limited “Night Light” vinyl variant will be available, pressed on tri-colour (blue, silver, and black) galaxy effect vinyl and presented in a foil-stamped and numbered jacket.
