A vintage photo recently came up showing Nigerian Afrobeats artist Davido in what would appear to be a confrontation with Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie and her husband, Prince Odi Okojie.

The post, which originated from the comment section on Eniola Badmus’s article, reveals Davido’s disgust for the pair, accusing them of being “evil” people. The drama began when Eniola Badmus sent Mercy Johnson a congratulations message on the reported delivery of her fourth child years ago.

Davido took advantage of the chance to air his frustrations, referring to the pair as “wicked people” and reluctantly extended his congrats. This hatred stems from Davido’s claimed refusal to honor a commitment to attend the grand launch of the Okojies’ luxury hotel enterprise, Henod Luxury Hotels, in Abulegba, Lagos. Despite promising his appearance on Instagram, Davido, who was on tour in America at the time, did not turn up, disappointing attendees and organizers.

Mercy Johnson and Prince Odi allegedly sued Davido for breach of contract after his no-show. Reaching Davido’s management team was impossible since, according to reports, they stopped returning calls, which made matters worse.
