Anitta Announces Her Next Album, “Funk Generation,” And Releases A New Single With Accompanying Visuals

The first full-length studio album by Brazilian singer-songwriter Anitta, under Republic Records and Universal Music Latin Entertainment, titled “Funk Generation,” will be released on a specific date. The album will be released on April 26.

The extended album “Funk Generation” is the companion piece to Anitta’s three-song pack “Funk Generation: a Favela Lovestory,” which she released in August. During that performance, she sang the funk-infused hits “Funk Rave,” “Casi Casi,” and “Used To Be,” which offered fans a taste of her future musical direction.

Additionally, according to Anitta, this album features “important collaborations” that have enabled her to fully convey the album’s narrative. Among them is the recently released song “Double Team,” which features Puerto Rican rapper Brray and Bad Gyal in the music video.

The collaboration “Bota Niña,” which is for Bad Gyal’s debut album “La Joia,” was just published by Anitta and Bad Gyal, a Spanish artist who is also signed to Universal Music Latino. The song “Double Team,” which has lines in Spanish, Portuguese, and English, comes with a music video that features Anitta, Bad Gyal, and Brray and is set in an enervating outdoor baile funk party.
