Arowoshadinni: Nollywood’s Mercy Aigbe Bags Top Title From Islamic Foundation As Netizens React

It’s trending news that Mercy Aigbe, who recently became a Muslim, has months after, bagged a title coveted by many. The actress shared a flier which announced the intention of an Islamic foundation to crown her the Arowoshadinni. Arowoshadinni is given to Muslims in communities who are wealthy enough to spend money on the organisation.

Since her conversion, Mercy Aigbe of Nollywood has benefited from being both a wealthy star and a Muslim. Following her marriage to Kazeem Adeoti, aka Adekaz, the actress unveiled a new title that will appear after her name going forward, just months after officially converting to Islam.

The flier on her page claims that an Islamic foundation chose to confer the title of “Arowoshadinni” upon her. The name Arowoshadinni, which roughly translates to “one who has money to carry out religion,” was put forward by the mother of two in her caption. While the actress’s admirers rejoiced with her, other Muslims remarked that Mercy only got the title due of her wealth and not because of her religious nature.

In her post, she wrote,

“Let me Re-Introduce myself Hajia Minnah Anulouwapo Mercy Adeoti ( Arowoshadinni ) ❤️So henceforth kindly add Arowoshadinni to my name ❤️Big Thank you to ABD AZEEZ ISLAMIC FOUNDATION for this honour!”
