B.G. Shares New Music Video, “Really Understand”; Reflects On Prison Experience

B.G. has recently released a music video for his new song, “Really Understand,” in which he reflects on the time he spent in prison. The video features the ex-con sitting in an interrogation room, contemplating his fate as he is about to be taken to his jail cell. The rapper, whose real name is Christopher Dorsey, is famous not only for his music career but also for the legal troubles he faced in 2012 when he was convicted of two counts of firearm possession and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice. The charges resulted in a 14-year prison sentence for him, and he served a good number of those sentences before gaining freedom late last year.

The release of “Really Understand” comes after B.G. expressed an interest in a reunion of the Hot Boys, the popular rap group he was a part of. He publicly shouted out Lil Wayne, another group member, to make the reunion happen. Furthermore, B.G. has also expressed interest in collaborating with Boosie Badazz, a fellow rapper. Since his release, B.G. has released successful projects in his bid to put his career back on track, including “Choppers & Bricks,” which he dropped with Gucci Mane in 2023. He plans to release his project, “The Heart of Tha Streetz, Vol. 3,” soon.
