Following a string of tweets announcing his desire to perform there, Meek Mill arrived in Ghana on December 28 for the Afro Nation Festival. Before this scare, the rapper appeared to be enjoying himself in Ghana, as seen by the internet footage showing him riding quad bikes through the city. However, the rapper traveled to Ghana after learning that he is 18% Ghanaian from Ancestry.com.

The rapper from Philadelphia shared his DNA findings on his Instagram Story on December 28. He highlighted 18% of his DNA from the Ivory Coast and Ghana and wrote, “My second home!!!” around it. Soon after, videos showed Meek traveling to the club at 3 a.m. and staying until 7 a.m. with his crew and reliable four-wheeler after arriving in the West African nation. Along with Davido, Rema, Black Sherif, and others, Meek will also headline this year’s Afro Nation music event in Accra, Ghana, on December 29 and 30.
