Bad Boy Timz Recounts An Assassination Attempt on His Life

Stunning Afro-fusion singer Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin, also known as Bad Boy Timz, has described a terrible assassination attempt he and his family were victims of. In an interview with Nigerian media personality Adesope Olajide, a UK-based Nigerian, the Headies’ award-winning act, whose most recent single, “I Salute” featuring rapper Zlatan, is still gaining airplay, revealed the information.

The event in Mushin, Lagos, was, in Bad Boy Timz’s opinion, an attempt at assassination rather than a robbery because the assailant appeared in front of their car and began firing sporadically. Timz further explained that they weren’t the objective of the assassins, which is why they could escape; however, the singer was shot in the eye at the young age of nine.

Adesope expressed his shock and empathy, especially when he asked Timz if the assailants were apprehended, and the singer answered no because “this is Nigeria.” He also added that he requires another eye operation which means he had undergone a procedure in the past.

Bad Boy Timz, who is revered for smash hits like Move and Loading and more recent fan favorites like Big Money and Faya, debuted just three years ago with the chart-topping song Check And Balance. He then released his self-titled debut EP, which received over 10 million streams that year. In less than two weeks, on May 25, Timz will return, this time with his debut project, “No Bad Boy No Party.”
