Brymo On Asake’s New Song “Yoga”

Olawale Ibrahim Ashimi, often known as Brymo, is a prominent Nigerian musician who just weighed in on Asake’s most recent song, “Yoga.” Asake’s first single for 2023 and official release since he published his debut album is the highly traditional ruminative song made by his partner in crime, Magic Sticks. Less than 24 hours after its debut, the song topped the country’s Apple Music Chart and has since continued to amass more rankings and progress.

Brymo, who rarely talks about other people’s works of art, revealed how much he enjoys Asake’s latest single. On February 2, 2023, he tweeted about how much he adored the song and how much he was looking forward to seeing how Asake evolve.

The last time Brymo made news headlines was to render apologies to the Igbo tribe for his degrading social media remarks, for which he came under some serious fire.

In a subtle attack on Peter Obi’s supporters and the Igbo people of Nigeria, Brymo implied that the Igbo people were not ready for the presidency. Brymo’s comments immediately drew criticism from the public, particularly from people in the country’s southeast and those who support Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate. As a result, over 28,000 people signed a petition. As a result, Charles Ogundele started to prevent Brymo from being nominated for the 2023 All Africa Music Award (AFRIMA).
