Burna Boy has astonished his fans and supporters in Accra, Ghana, by celebrating with the women of Makola Market. Burna Boy, a Nigerian musician recognized for his hit song “City Boys,” included Ghana’s Makola market women on a billboard to say thanks for their singing and dancing to his song.
While dancing merrily in the market to his hit song, City Boys, the women created a viral video. The video acquired popularity on TikTok after multiple users tagged Burna Boy’s social media accounts, leading to his eventual discovery of the video. The dance video has received over 3.7 million views since it was posted on TikTok on September 18, 2023.
To show his appreciation for the Makola market women in response, the artist uploaded an image and a video about it on his social media platforms. Burnaboy revealed on Instagram on October 4, 2023, along with a touching video, that he had purchased a billboard space that read,
