COLLEGROVE 2: 2 Chainz & Lil Wayne’s Sequel Set To Arrive Next Month

Fans of 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne can rejoice as the highly-anticipated sequel to their 2016 album ‘Collegrove’ is set to be released before the end of this year and according to Rock The Bells, the College Park, Georgia rapper revealed during a closed-set filming session that ColleGrove 2 will be coming out in November. Additionally, 2 Chainz also talked about Lil Wayne’s memorable appearance on his hit track “Duffle Bag Boy” from 2007.

He said,

“Me and Wayne’s album drops next month,” “This is a full circle moment.”

“It was built on a relationship. Wayne at the time, was the hottest artist in the world. He could’ve charged me eight million, but he didn’t.”

Regarding the upcoming release of ColleGrove 2, there have been many hints and teasers this year. 2 Chainz promised The Source last month that the project would be out before the year ended.

He continued:

“ColleGrove 2 will be coming out before the year’s over with,”

“We’ve already shot two visuals, the photo shoot is over. We’re in the process now of mastering records. All the records are mixed, so it’ll be coming soon.”

“I’m so excited about it and I’ve been talking about it so long. I’m anxious at this point, to try to get it to the fans’ ears. Hear some of the hard work, and the blood sweat and tears that me and my brother put into this project.”

August saw Weezy and 2 Chainz photographed tying up with Usher for a possible collaboration, which sent off a wave of rumours about a potential new release. Social media users started sharing a video of Usher, Tity Boi, and the leader of Young Money filming what looked to be a new song video. Amidst a minimalist studio, the trio was observed pacing and gesturing at the camera, indicating to enthusiasts that something fresh was probably on the horizon.”COLLEGROVE 2,” the caption for the video said, implying that the images are from Wayne and Chainz’s upcoming joint album.

ColleGrove, which combines the names of the neighbourhoods that 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne grew up in—Hollygrove, New Orleans, and College Park, Georgia—was released in March of 2016.
