Davido Declares His Enemies Will Never Succeed In Taking Him Down
Popular Afrobeat musician Davido causes controversy online as some of the comments he posted on his Facebook go viral. Davido said in the widely shared tweet that some people have been pursuing his life for years. Davido quickly clarified, however, that people who have been hunting him for years would simply keep chasing after his shadows and would never succeed in catching him.
The online remarks were based on the song “Peace” by Mohbad. Davido, who is currently in Lagos, traveled back to Nigeria for the singer’s candlelight funeral procession. When he stated earlier this year that he wouldn’t be traveling to Nigeria until the first quarter of 2024 to pay his final respects to Mohbad, Davido had violated his word but a worthy cause.
In another report, Davido was reportedly spotted turning down a bottle of water at Mohbad’s candlelight procession. The exchange’s video went viral online as many praised Davido for always being vigilant. Online discussion on Davido’s response to the thoughtful act at the tribute sparked both praise and criticism of the musician.
Since Mohbad’s passing, his supporters and admirers have demanded that the circumstances surrounding his death be thoroughly investigated.
