Don Jazzy Expresses Love For OdumoduBlvck; Says His Style Brings To Mind The Old School Days Of Nigerian Hip-Hop
In a recent interview, Don Jazzy, a veteran music producer, singer, and rapper, expressed his admiration for fast-rising rapper OdumoduBlvck. The Mavin boss revealed his love for the rising star’s unique rap style, incorporating old-school vibes reminiscent of the Nigerian old-school hip-hop sensation. Don Jazzy described OdumoduBlvck’s music style as being one-of-a-kind.
During a conversation about the state of the music industry, Don Jazzy expressed his appreciation for the lyrical talent of the 29-year-old rapper OdumoduBlvck. To illustrate his point, Don Jazzy sang a snippet of one of OdumoduBlvck’s unreleased, word-for-word tracks to convey his deep admiration for the rapper’s skilful wordplay and poetic expression. He said;
“I love him [OdumoduBlvck] , this is just beautiful. It reminds me of Nigerian hip hop music before our time.
It gives me that old school vibes, and then fusing the urban style into it makes it cool and dope.
It makes it more authentic as it is a native style.
I like him, I like him a lot”.
OdumoduBlvck is a talented and impressive artist who has been making waves since his debut single, ‘Picanto’, was released in 2022. He has continued to produce hit after hit, showcasing his unique style and rhythm. This has earned him a nomination for the highly coveted 2023 Headies Rookie of the Year Award, a testament to his skill and hard work.
