Dua Lipa’s “Training Session” Lashes Out At “Bad Dates”

The well-known pop singer Dua Lipa has disclosed that the meaning behind her upcoming song “Training Season” is related to her experiences going on a series of awful dates. The 28-year-old performer has already had romantic relationships with a number of well-known people, such as TV show Trevor Noah, model and chef Isaac Carew, LANY singer Paul Klein, and filmmaker Romain Garvas. Many rumours are circulating that she is dating “The Boys in the Boat” star Callum Turner.

In an open discussion of her earlier romantic relationships, Dua Lipa said those experiences served as “training” for finally finding someone to treat her properly. After the explosive dance hit “Houdini,” fans have been waiting impatiently for the release of “Training Season,” the second single from her upcoming third studio album. Fans may now enjoy a 30-second teaser of the song, which can be used as the music for their TikTok videos, while the full version is scheduled to be released on February 15.

“I had been on a string of bad dates, and the last one was the final straw,”

“The next morning I arrived to the studio to [co-writers] Caroline [Ailin] and Tobias [Jesso Jr.] asking me how it all went and I immediately declared ‘TRAINING SEASON IS OVER,’ and like the best ‘day after’ debriefs with your mates, we had a lot of laughs and it all quickly came together from there.”

She added,

“And while it is obviously about that feeling when you are just absolutely done telling people…men specifically in this case, how to date you right; it is also about my training season being over and me growing with every experience. I have never felt more confident, clear, or empowered. And while it may be that training season is never over for any of us, you start to see the beauty in finding that person to experience it with. You stop looking for the trainees and become more interested in having someone where you are and someone to grow with.”
