Dua Lipa Announces New Single ‘Training Season’ As Fans Continue To Anticipate Incoming LP
Dua Lipa has just announced the release of her highly anticipated new single ‘Training Season’ from her upcoming album. Following the success of her last album, ‘Future Nostalgia, in 2020, Lipa has promised to make this album even better. Her latest song, ‘Training Season’, is set to drop on February 15th, and fans can pre-order or pre-save the track now. The song is available on limited edition 7″ vinyl, CD, and cassette tape. This song is a follow-up to her 2023 hit single ‘Houdini’, and both tracks will be included in Lipa’s third studio album, which is yet to be named and set for release later this year.
Lipa also shared a snippet of the upbeat track on her TikTok account, and it’s safe to say that fans are already going wild. In the video, she can be seen singing along to the song with her signature passion and energy. Speaking about ‘Training Season’ in a press release, Lipa confidently stated:
“I had been on a string of bad dates, and the last one was the final straw. The next morning I arrived to the studio to Caroline [Ailin (Ellie Goulding, Katy Perry)] , and Tobias [Jesso Jr. (Harry Styles, King Princess, FKA Twigs)] asking me how it all went, and I immediately declared ‘TRAINING SEASON IS OVER,’ and like the best ‘day after’ debriefs with your mates, we had a lot of laughs, and it all quickly came together from there.”
And while it is obviously about that feeling when you are just absolutely done telling people…men specifically in this case, how to date you right; it is also about my training season being over and me growing with every experience. I have never felt more confident, clear or empowered. And while it may be that training season is never over for any of us, you start to see the beauty in finding that person to experience it with. You stop looking for the trainees and become more interested in having someone where you are and someone to grow with.”
