In its tenth year, the list honors 30 exceptional African-born performers under 30 who excel in a variety of disciplines, such as business, technology, sports, health, and the creative arts. A growing group of African performers, including Tems, Ayra Starr, Focalistic, Mr. Eazi, Davido, Wizkid, Sho Madjozi, Nasty C, Kabza De Small, and Burna Boy, have been included in the list in prior years.

Some of the most widespread Afrobeats songs, including “Peru,” are the brainchild of Fireboy DML, who recently performed at the Coachella Festival. The singer is getting ready for the release of his fourth studio album this year. He has won numerous prestigious awards, including a BMI London Award in 2023.

Tyla, on the other hand, a 2024 Grammy winner, is currently one of Africa’s biggest breakout artists as a result of her viral hit song “Water,” which has become the highest charting African female soloist in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has been certified platinum in South Africa. Since its publication, her debut album of the same name has likewise received praise from all over the world.

On May 5–8, in Gaborone, Botswana, Forbes will have its third annual Under 30 Summit Africa, featuring American entertainer Nick Cannon as one of the main attractions.
