Wizkid Takes Shots At Don Jazzy And Ladipoe Over The Rapper’s Remark On Afrobeats

Wizkid has low-key ridiculed Ladipoe and Don Jazzy in response to the rapper’s remarks over the difficulties facing Afrobeats made in one his latest tweets.

The multi-award winning singer and performer Wizkid made subtle jabs at Mavin Records CEO Don Jazzy and his artist Ladipoe during his response to questions and comments from the public. This came after the rapper’s remarks about the Afrobeats’ identity struggle sparked a discussion about a potential beef between Davido and the singer after he recently posted a video update on social media.

Wiz made his statement shortly after Mavin Records rapper Ladipoe posted on social media, saying, “Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own.”

Wizkid was made aware of a remark made by fellow musician Ladipoe during an online conversation with followers. In reply, Wizkid stated that he would prefer not to speak with someone who is under an influencer’s contract. At first, fans didn’t get what Wizkid was getting at.

But someone was able to make the connection and bring up Don Jazzy’s name in connection to Ladipoe’s remark in the tweet’s comment section, which was reposted by the singer.
