Former Kanye’s ‘Yeezy’ Employee Lawsuit Might Resolve Soon As Motion Is Filed

Kanye West is currently facing multiple lawsuits, one of which was filed by his former employee, Maya Stewart. Stewart accused Kanye West, Yeezy, and GAP of labour exploitation, wrongful termination, and a lack of proper compensation. She claimed to have worked for 80 hours a week, sometimes for 21 hours straight and received a pay cut when she complained about shortened breaks and unfair compensation. Furthermore, she alleged that she was not compensated for essential elements of the job that she had to provide herself. However, all three parties have outlined a settlement agreement and went to mediation in January 2022, with a new proposal welcomed by all. As a result, Stewart has filed a motion to dismiss the case against Kanye West, although the specifics of their agreement and settlement terms are yet to be disclosed.

Kanye West appears to be giving his music career full attention, even in the face of these continuous legal challenges. According to reports, he is collaborating with Ty Dolla $ign on three volumes of “Vultures” and hopes this will be his big break. However, supporters are still dubious because of his track record of making empty promises. Kanye West has also expressed support for Jay-Z’s recent Grammy acceptance speech, in which he criticized the music industry for failing to give black musicians proper credit. Due to their complex history over the years, there has been much conjecture about a potential reunion between the two artists. While it is still unclear if this reunion will take place, many fans are hoping that it will, as the two have created some of the most iconic hip-hop music of all time.
