Houston Rapper Viper Arrested For Reportedly Holding Woman “Hostage” For Years

After reportedly holding a lady in captivity for several years, Houston rapper Viper has been detained and charged with aggravated kidnapping. According to court records that the Houston Chronicle obtained, rapper Lee Carter was taken into custody on Thursday, January 4 . Carter allegedly forced the accused victim to reside in his garage while holding her captive for four or five years. She claims she was compelled to use crack cocaine, subjected to multiple sexual assaults, and denied the ability to bathe.

A reported kidnapping in April 2023 brought the matter to the attention of the police. According to the woman, Carter abducted her when she was begging and imprisoned her in an adjoining garage on his South Houston land. According to the records, Carter’s residence was allegedly opened to her on occasion. Along with that, it describes an alleged occurrence in which the woman managed to escape the garage through the window, only to be arrested, sent to the hospital, and then released back to Carter. The papers state that on April 7, 2023, Carter gave the woman temporary access to his laptop. After that, she claimed to have been held captive and used a messaging app to message the police.

The woman was reported to have “weighed approximately 70 pounds” and seemed terribly underweight when authorities first saw her. Officers reported finding leftovers of snack food, recent vomit, and a “makeshift toilet” all over her bedding. The woman said she hadn’t showered in two months and that her hair was “crusty.” Under the moniker Viper, Carter makes homegrown hip-hop music in the cloud rap and vaporwave scenes. “You’ll Cowards Don’t Smoke Crack” from 2008 was his most well-known release. Regarding the allegations, Carter has not made any public remarks. On Monday, January 8, he is expected to attend a Houston court preliminary hearing as the matter continues to gain press attention.
