Rapper Fetty Wap Risks Five Years In Jail Over Drugs

This isn’t the best of times for rapper Fetty Wap as the spectre of a drug charge hovers over him. According to the prosecutor’s office, the musician has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess and distribute 500 grams of cocaine.

No sentencing date has been given. However, Fetty Wap’s attorney would want the sentencing to be expedited. No reason was given for that, though.

Fetty Wap’s legal troubles didn’t start today. He was arrested and indicted in October 2021 alongside five others on drug trafficking and conspiracy charges. He was released on $500k bail and given a couple of conditions, including not possessing a firearm, destructive device, or other weapons.

He was also warned not to violate any federal, state or local laws. However, he couldn’t keep to the conditions, and his bail was revoked. Part of the reasons for the revocation of his bail was him FaceTiming someone and threatening the person with a gun.

He has since been taken back into custody. Although he hasn’t been sentenced yet, he risks up to five years in prison for the crime for which he has pleaded guilty. However, depending on several factors, he might get a lighter sentence. Stay tuned, if you please.
