During his appearance on the Fresh Off The Boat Podcast, Ice Prince revealed that M.I. played a significant role in his career. The ‘Oleku’ crooner expressed his gratitude towards M.I. for his contributions. Ice Prince credited M.I. for being a mentor and providing him with valuable guidance and support throughout his journey in the music industry. He emphasized that M.I.’s influence helped shape his artistic style and allowed him to find his unique voice as an artist.

“I can put M.I next to any rapper in the world. He made us study the game a lot. He played a huge role in my life.”

He added that Modenine, a seasoned rapper from Nigeria, was the best metaphor rapper in the entire world. According to him, he also said veteran Nigerian rapper Modenine is the best metaphorical rapper in the world. The Jos-born rapper said Modenine’s exceptional skills as a metaphor rapper have garnered him immense recognition not only in Nigeria but also on a global scale. His ability to craft intricate and thought-provoking metaphors sets him apart from other artists, making him a true master.

“Our OGs like Obi Asika, Audu Maikori, Kenny Ogungbe and Segun Demuren need to have their foothold in the game. We need them as much as we need these international labels.”
