The renowned South African musician Tyla Laura Seethal, also called Tyla, has elevated Nigerian Afrobeats icon Wizkid to the same status as musical icons like the late Michael Jackson, Drake, and Rihanna. When asked to choose her top five famous musicians of all time, Tyla listed Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Drake, Rihanna, and Wizkid in an interview. Because of his longevity and influence on the African music industry, she said that Wizkid is on par with the heavyweights in the international music market. Tyla also praised Wizkid for his ability to seamlessly blend different genres and create unique sounds that resonate with a global audience. She believes that his contributions to the music industry have made him a star in Africa and solidified his place among the greats worldwide.

“My top five musical artists of all-time, obviously, Michael Jackson, Rihanna, Drake… It is always difficult to find the last one. There’s so many but I will say Wizkid. He has been around so long and has done so much for the culture and the genre[African music] , so I definitely put him there.”
