Ice Spice Announces New Album “Y2K” Out This Year

Ice Spice is returning with a new wave for a millennium in the form of an album. The rapper of the song “Think U the S— (Fart)” said on The Today Show on Tuesday, January 30, that her full-length first album, Y2K, will be out “this year.” Co-hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Hoda Kotb were informed of the new project by the MC herself.

“Yes, there’s gonna be an album,”  “I’m so excited,”

With the message “Y2K!?/?/24,” Ice Spice shared a photo of her newly acquired lower back tattoo in November. The 24-year-old rapper’s Miami-based music video for her new track, “Think U the S— (Fart),” was released recently. Then, she teased her debut album. In the video, Ice flaunts her wealth as she cruises in opulent vehicles and hangs out with her pals on watercraft shaped like expensive cars. She also twerks and throws parties throughout the city.

With regard to her birthday, January 1, 2000, the rapper talks about the album. Though the rapper didn’t disclose a certain release date, Ice Spice’s album is definitely coming out—and she claims it is “almost finished.” She said, without providing any details, that she had “a crazy collaboration that just got locked in, like two days ago.”

Ice has had a busy few months. In October, she released “Pretty Girl,” a song she played on her Saturday Night Live debut alongside Afrobeats artist Rema. At the 66th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday February 4, she is also nominated for four Grammys: best new artist, best pop duo/group performance for “Karma” with Taylor Swift, best rap song, and best song written for visual media with “Barbie World” with Nicki Minaj.
