Julia Fox Explains The Circumstances Surrounding The Machete Attack On Her Birkin Bag

When it comes to the details around her damaged Hermès Birkin bag, Julia Fox is prepared to let the cat out of the bag. The Uncut Gems actress said in an October TikTok that her cherished designer accessory had been attacked with a machete, but she largely left the details of the incident unrevealed. So far, at least.

On November 15, when Thierry Mugler: Couturissime opened to the public, Julia spoke with E! News and provided additional details about what transpired with her prized belonging.

“I got in a fight with a loved one,” she revealed to E! at the New York City event, “and I don’t want to snitch because we’re still friends.”

In her words, “Sometimes you fight with your fam.”

The model previously showed off the scars on her Birkin by telling her TikTok followers on October 19: “I love her, but she’s been through a lot. That’s a little hard to see there, but she was actually attacked by a machete.” Julia stayed mum about who took a knife to her bag, but she did acknowledge that there was a cause for it, saying, “I deserved it, let’s put it that way.”

The Hermès design and the places where it had been cut, such as close to the handles and on one of the sides, were shown in detail by Julia in the little movie. “I’m holding onto this Birkin for my life,” she reportedly told her followers.

The 32-year-Birkin old’s isn’t, of course, her sole fashion gem. She made a stylish entrance to honor the late Thierry Mugler by donning an asymmetrical low-waisted skirt and a deconstructed cropped blazer with daring bustier cuts.
