Spotify Names Burna Boy’s ‘Love, Damini’ As The Most Exported Afrobeats Record

Afrobeats keeps expanding, the performers are playing to packed houses at their preferred locations all over the world, and new recordings are coming out. This time, one of the greatest music streaming services in the world, Spotify, has provided the most recent of the endless records.

Spotify has revealed the 10 Afrobeats albums that have been exported throughout the world the most in its latest batch of “Top 10” listings. Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” has been named the most exported Afrobeats album on Spotify.

With Afrobeats now available to hundreds of millions of listeners worldwide, music streaming has significantly aided in the international exporting of Nigerian music by exposing Nigerian superstars to a wide market. The most popular Afrobeats songs on Spotify’s platforms were disclosed in the most recent update to its Afrobeats-specific webpage.

With his Grammy-nominated sixth album, “Love, Damini,” released in July 2022, Nigerian megastar Burna Boy tops the chart. ‘Last Last’, a mega-hit song, as well as ‘For Your Hand’ with Ed Sheeran and ‘Its Plenty’ were all included on the album.

Other albums on the list are Wizkid’s fourth album “Made In Lagos,” Rema’s first album “Raves & Roses,” CKay’s “CKay The First” EP, and Rema’s “Calm Down” EP, all of which produced massive international blockbuster hits with the singles “Calm Down,” “Love Nwantiti,” and “Essence,” respectively.
