This news was first reported on Twitter by Chris Gardner of The Hollywood Reporter. The reason behind the arrest is still unclear; however, it has been confirmed that it was unrelated to his conduct at the event. The details of the arrest have not yet been made public.
Before the arrest, Killer Mike expressed his excitement at winning all three awards he was nominated for. His track, “Scientists & Engineers,” won him the awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance, while his album, Michael, won him the award for Best Rap Album. According to an anonymous source, Killer Mike was in high spirits and had been celebrating with his team before the unfortunate incident. The source also mentioned that the rapper had been looking forward to attending the Grammy Awards for months and was thrilled to be recognized for his work.
