King Perryy Enlists Shatta Wale And Runtown For “Denge II”
Ikechukwu Anthony Offiah, a Nigerian dancehall artist better known as King Perryy, has released a new song titled “Denge II,” which includes Ghanaian dancehall superstar Shatta Wale and Nigerian singer Runtown. On Instagram on October 4, 2023, King Perryy announced its release. 1da Banton produced the 2-minute Afropop tune, which combines Ghanaian Shatta Wale’s dancehall language and Runtown’s afrobeats rhythms.
Denge’s initial version was published in February 2023 as the closing track on King Perry’s Continental Playlist EP, which also featured 1da Banton, who performed and produced the song. It’s a funky song with a wonderful beat. “Denge II” is Runtown’s second music release this year, following the release of Mmiri in February 2023.
King Perryy made his debut in 2018 with his song Man On Duty, which has had over 2.9 million streams on Spotify alone. In 2021, he returned to the scene with his debut album Citizen of the World, and he has since continued to produce unquestionably distinctive sounds that are likely to captivate listeners from the first listen.
King Perryy has earned a reputation as one of the hottest dancehall musicians in the game, receiving critical accolades from DJ BOOTH, Spur Play Africa, GRUNGECAKE, FWORD MAGAZINE, and others.
