Shatta Wale Prioritizes Wealth Acquisition Over Performing At The O2 Arena

While most musicians’ dreams are to perform at prominent locations like the O2 Arena, Ghanaian music sensation Shatta Wale has confessed that his desire is to have money in his account. He claims that he has achieved his goals in the music industry and no longer gives a damn about how people perceive him.

Shatta Wale stated on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in a Twitter Space with media personality Serwaa Amihere that he did not see the necessity to promote Ghana to the world when Ghanaians treat him disrespectfully and refer to him as a drug addict.

He claimed that his main objective was to create a significant money reserve of $1 billion in his account rather than just perform to sold-out crowds. After Nigerian singer Asake had a successful debut at the 02 Arena earlier this week, Shatta wale poked fun at Ghanaian music.

He claimed that Ghanaian musicians’ accomplishments had been eclipsed by those of musicians from Nigeria. He compared the Nigerian music industry, which he called a “Hennessy bottle,” to that of Ghana, comparing it to a “feeding bottle” instead.

Shatta Wale stated his misgivings about promoting Ghana overseas, noting the absence of support from fellow Ghanaians.
