Micheal Jackson’s Nephew Appears Set For Biopic

The upcoming MJ biopic will see Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, portraying the King of Pop. Lionsgate, the studio behind the film, has dropped the first official look at Jackson as MJ, and it’s incredible how much he resembles his late uncle. Jaafar was on location in the Encino area of Los Angeles, fully transformed into the iconic singer with hair, makeup, and costume. Cameras were rolling for “Michael,” the first official film to tackle the life of MJ on the big screen.

It’s worth mentioning that Jaafar is the son of Jermaine Jackson and bears an eerie resemblance to his famous uncle. In the first promotional picture, he replicated Michael’s 1992–1993 Dangerous Tour and looked like a dead ringer for the entertainer. This time, we see Jaafar in a slightly different view, wearing a white button-down shirt and a tie. It’s clear that he has become Michael Jackson, and it’s impressive how he has captured the late singer’s essence.

Nia Long, who plays Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson, has fully transformed into her character and is pretty unrecognizable. Colman Domingo is portraying Joe Jackson, and other actors are playing the younger Jackson 5, fully immersed in their roles and looking great. However, Jaafar is the show’s star, and it’s evident that he has put in a lot of effort to channel his late uncle’s performance style. The highly anticipated biopic won’t hit theatres until April 2025, but everything we’ve seen so far is hitting the mark, at least visually. MJ’s many fans will be watching, and it’s safe to say that the excitement surrounding the film is palpable. We can’t wait to see how everything plays out when the film finally gets released.
