Mr. Eazi And Angélique Kidjo Dish Out The Elegant Visuals For “Òròkórò”

Fresh off the success of his recently released album and first-ever art and music fusion experience, Mr. Eazi has unveiled the thrilling new video for his fan-favorite song, Òròkórò.

Produced by fellow Grammy Award winner Kel-P, and featuring five-time Grammy Award winner and 2023 Polar Music Prize laureate Angélique Kidjo, the video is an exciting addition to the artist’s repertoire.

Recorded in Ouida, Benin, and Accra, Ghana, Òròkórò is a magnificent Afropop and global music offering featuring rich guitar arrangements and percussion drums. Mr. Eazi and Angélique Kidjo begin 2024 with a deeply spiritual and appreciative attitude as they fervently thank and praise God.

Mr. Eazi and Angelique Kidjo skillfully capture the essence of thankfulness and divine gifts by drawing heavily on the emotion of their native Yoruba language, in which the song is predominantly delivered.

Filmmaker Thomas Leloup from the French creative team Minuit/Une has worked with Mr. Eazi and Angélique Kidjo to create the visually stunning Òròkórò, which further enhances the track’s impact.

Captured in the alluring settings of Paris and the Forêt de Fontainebleau, the film offers a visual interpretation of a spiritual musical that skillfully combines modernity and tradition.

The Òròkórò video pays homage to the important historical site of Angélique Kidjo’s birthplace in Benin, a focal point for West African spiritual culture, while deftly weaving a narrative of history and spirituality, drawing upon the aesthetics of traditional religion in West Africa.
