NBA YoungBoy Drops New Song ‘Goals’

Rampant rapper NBA YoungBoy has announced the release of his new single, “Goals”. The 22-year old reflects on his life, goals, pains, and successes in the new song.

The new single appears to be released to give fans a foray into the young rapper’s life and to give context to the rapper’s recent tumultuous confession that rocked his fanbase. YoungBoy made headlines recently after he shared some upsetting thoughts about his future.

In a text conversation with his friend and producer Khris James, who has produced YoungBoy’s projects, including Still FlexinStill Stepping, and 38 Baby 2, he believes he will end up dead or in prison. “I’m headed to a cell or the grave very soon,” he wrote.

The text immediately sparked rumours of depression and a potential self-harm incident frot her paper which was then under house arrest following his fresh release from prison.

YoungBoy is currently the second most-streamed artist in 2022, with over 2.8 billion streams across all platforms. The release of this new single is expected to push him over 3 billion streams in the coming weeks and make him the outright most-streamed artist of 2022. That is, however, only a projection as Drake, presently the most streamed artist does not seem to be relenting in any way.

“Goals” is the latest in a series of drops from YoungBoy, following “Proud of Myself” and “See Me Now.” Watch the video below
