Odumodublvck Moves To Clarify What Happened At Poco Lee’s LASU Concert In Interview

Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, better known by his stage name Odumodublvck, a popular Nigerian rapper, has clarified what happened at the recent LASU concert where he was spotted “running away.” At the recent musical event planned by socialite Poco Lee, Nigerians used the rapper as Twitter fodder.

In order to excite the students at his alma mater, Lagos State University, popular Nigerian dancer, hypeman, and socialite, Poco Lee organized a headline concert on Wednesday, July 13, 2023. He invited exciting artists from all over the country to perform. Bella Shmurda, Young Jonn, Yhemo Lee, Hotkid, Smada, Odumodublvk, and other artists performed at the jam-packed event.

Even though the lineup was intriguing, things took an unexpected turn after a number of videos showing instances of raucous behaviour and even violence at the concert appeared online. With his braggadocious personality, Odumodu’s video of him jogging away from the crowd garnered attention as most social media users criticised him.

The Headies award nominee clarified during a guest appearance on Cool FM’s The Big Friday Show that, contrary to what the viral video implied, he wasn’t actually “running away” but rather was merely attempting to get away from the crowd after finishing his performance.

The rapper from Abuja, who is slated to release his album this year, also discussed the 14 songs that will make up the album. ‘Declan Rice,’ ‘Dog Eat Dog (Remix),’ which features street-hop artist Bella Shmurda and Alte star Santi, and ‘Fire Gun,’ which features afrobeats star Fireboy DML, are all of his previously released songs which may be included in the upcoming body of work. All three are attracting impressive streaming numbers to date.

The rapper recently received a legendary co-sign from English Premier League team Arsenal for signing English football playmaker Declan Rice as his track was used at the unveiling.
