Olamide Tops The List Of African Rappers With The Highest Streaming Numbers On Spotify

The sensational Nigerian rap phenomenon, Olamide, has now become one of Africa’s most commercially successful stars. He is one of the most popular musicians in Nigeria for more than ten years, whose music has helped make hip-hop and Afrobeats more commercially successful.

The multi-award-winning rapper and YBNL boss is the only African rapper with the highest Spotify streams. Olamide’s astounding accomplishment of over 630 million Spotify plays reflects his success and longevity. Baddo has ten solo albums to his credit, making it one of the largest catalogs in Nigerian mainstream music.

Olamide is the only rapper and musician from Nigeria to have won three Headies Album of the Year awards in a row (2012), 2013 with his album Baddest Guy Ever Liveth, and 2014 with his album Street OT.
