Police Interrupt Asake’s Music Video Recording In France

Asake, a rapidly rising musician, was filming a music video in France when French security arrived. A French policeman attempted to stop the YBNL artist and his group from performing their song filmed in the street, as shown in a now-viral video. The hitmaker ‘Lonely at the Top’ generated much online discussion over his handling of the contentious circumstance.

The incident was caught on camera and has now gone viral, igniting a discussion about racial profiling. Asake gets stopped by police officers when he is along the street in the footage. The police question him about his whereabouts and demand to see his identity. Still performing his responsibilities, the musician ignored the police and told his videographer to angle the camera in the direction of the elderly guy.

Asake, who gained popularity a few months ago with the release of his smash single “Omo Ope,” which featured Olamide, the head of the YBNL label, has a large following of admirers. But Asake admitted in an interview that he finds it hard to distinguish between people pretending to love him and those genuinely caring about him because of his recent rise to prominence.
