Rapper Vector Challenges Festus Keyamo Over Electoral Issues

Vector, a Nigerian rapper, has questioned Festus Keyamo, the minister of state for labor and employment. Vector is also known as Olanrewaju Ogunmefun David. He responded to a tweet made by the minister, who also serves as a spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, in which he asked to know why the opposition People’s Democratic Party planned to launch a protest against the outcome of the presidential election.

Dino Melaye, a former senator, urged PDP members to prepare for a protest in response to Bola Tinubu’s election as president-elect. In response, Keyamo questioned whether they were protesting to have the entire election annulled.

Vector could not let the minister’s tweet slide; he quoted the tweet in response and bluntly inquired if Keyamo was an idiot.

In more recent events, Keyamo has given an explanation for why he wasn’t chosen by the ruling party to represent Bola Tinubu, the president-elect, in court. The party named a group of experienced attorneys to represent it at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Tuesday in Abuja. Keyamo responded to his omission from the list made public on Tuesday by claiming that he wasn’t included since he was still a minister at the time.

He stated that the Constitution forbids listing a minister in active ministry as a part of a private legal team.
