Vector Addresses Wizkid Attack On Nigerian Rappers

Ogunmefun Olanrewaju, best known by his stage name Vector Tha Viper, a well-known Nigerian rapper, has responded to the hot topic of Wizkid’s remark on rap. The rapper asserted that everyone is to blame for the notion that rap is dead in an interview with HipTV, adding that Wizkid shouldn’t be the target of such criticism.

Vector emphasized that the people who should be supporting the Nigerian rap genre don’t even listen to it. In his opinion, Vector feels it is quite disrespectful to talk crap about another person’s means of livelihood especially when personal perspectives are the yardstick. He added that two different genres can co-exist independently.

So far, he would be the latest rapper to drop his two cents on the trending matter. Other popular Nigerian rappers like  M.I., Blaqbonez, Ladipoe, and Oladips, among others, have also responded to Wizkid’s claim that the rap genre is dead. Blaqbonez and Ladipoe both shared interesting pictures of themselves on Twitter, writing that they are still alive and not dead.

Blaqbonez went ahead to express his disappointment in his idol, especially with him ‘broke-shaming’ African rappers. Oladips, on the other hand, took the the issue personally to the point of recording a Wizkid diss song, though he later apologized, according to reports.
