Davido is believed to have sent 2 million Naira to the late Nigerian musician Mohbad’s father and paused his Manchester performance in honour of the late singer. On Tuesday, September 12, Davido and a few other celebrities posted tributes to the musician on social media. Mohbad was laid to rest in Lagos.
A social media influencer named Dami Adenuga backed up the assertion, saying,
“Mohbad’s father just said Davido sent somebody to him with N2m.” Davido mehn, God bless you.”
Many people have expressed gratitude for Davido’s gesture in the post’s comment section.
Additionally, it was stated that angry youths in the Lagos State neighbourhood of Ikorodu disrupted the funeral services for the late Nigerian rapper and artist Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad. The confrontation between the youngsters and the burial team during the event was caught on camera and posted to social media. They demanded that Mohbad’s body be removed from the cemetery. The young people claimed they would not permit Mohbad to be buried in the cemetery since he was not a Muslim while speaking in Yoruba.
The youths rejected the burial team’s attempts to reason with them. They threatened to harm the burial team, as the situation eventually became a yelling match. Finally, the police were called, and they were able to scatter the enraged youths. The burial crew then carried out the burial process.
Mohbad’s death is still being investigated for a cause as various stories have continued to circulate on social media. However, it is claimed that he passed away from an ear infection. His admirers and coworkers have expressed deep sorrow and sadness over Mohbad’s passing. He was an accomplished musician with a promising future.
