Ming Simmons, the eldest daughter, wished her mother a Happy Father’s Day rather than her dad, hinting at the strained relationship. Aoki Simmons, the youngest, shared her side of the story, claiming that she has been verbally abused by her father. She described him as “shrieking and yelling” during their conversations, and suggested that he might be suffering from a mental health issue. 
The family’s allegations have been supported by a series of text exchanges and FaceTime calls shared by Aoki, showing heated arguments between her and her father. Aoki also revealed that she had been prescribed emergency medication due to the severity of her anxiety triggered by their interactions.
Kimora Lee Simmons further claimed that Russell Simmons had been threatening her children’s lives and accused him of abuse. She also shared a screenshot of a message that Aoki had sent to her father, explaining that she had cut off contact with him due to the panic attacks she would have as a response to their interactions.
Russell Simmons, the co-founder of Def Jam Recordings, has been previously accused of rape and sexual assault on numerous occasions. He has consistently denied these allegations. However, these new claims from his family have brought his behavior back into the spotlight. As of now, Russell Simmons has not responded to these allegations.
