Speculations Abound As Snoop Dogg Reposts Drake’s Kendrick Lamar A.I. Diss
Drake’s “Taylor Made Freestyle” used advanced A.I. technology to replicate the voices of hip-hop legends Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg while dissing Kendrick Lamar. Snoop Dogg initially seemed indifferent to the diss and posted a video on Instagram of him laughing in disbelief and returning to bed. However, his recent Instagram Story repost of a video featuring ‘Pac, him, and other Cali icons with the audio of “Taylor Made Freestyle” in the background has caused a stir among fans. Many question Snoop Dogg’s loyalty and wonder if he has taken a side in the ongoing feud. This is a highly unusual move, as Drake had previously taken down the song from his social media after receiving a legal threat from Tupac’s estate. Fans are divided, with some criticizing Snoop Dogg for the repost and others making excuses for him. However, Snoop Dogg’s co-sign is not entirely unexpected, as he had previously appeared on Drake’s For All The Dogs album last year.
Kendrick Lamar fans are outraged and hoping that someone on Snoop Dogg’s social media team gets fired for this repost. Whether Snoop Dogg will explicitly speak on this issue remains to be seen. On the other hand, Drake is enjoying the attention and continues to taunt and troll. In a recent social media post, Drake was seen wearing chains that bore a striking resemblance to Tupac’s and a sweatshirt from Compton Community College, where Kendrick Lamar’s wife allegedly graduated. Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg is busy dealing with his current tenure at Death Row and recently brought back Danny Boy as an artist for the label after years of separation.
