Stonebwoy Releases The Visuals For “Apotheke,” Featuring DJ Maphorisa

Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy has released the video for his track ‘Apotheke,’ which features South African amapiano pioneer DJ Maphorisa. The song, whose German title means “pharmacy,” combines dancehall with amapiano, and its theme is lust and beauty.

Apotheke, which was filmed on London’s streets, depicts a vibrant celebration featuring appearances by DJs, performers, and dancers. One year after Stonebwoy’s 5th Dimension album was released, the music video for “Apotheke” is released. Big stars including Shaggy, Oxlade, Tiwa Savage, Davido, and Angélique Kidjo are among those included on the project, which was released on Def Jam Africa.

In anticipation of the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards in Accra on June 1, Stonebwoy, a recipient of a BET award, has been shortlisted in fifteen categories. More recently, Jidula, Stonebwoy’s daughter, stunned social media with her dance prowess at a recent event. When Jidula’s father watched his daughter dance, he was astounded by her extraordinary talent.

As he watched his children dance, Stonebwoy was astounded by what his own daughter could do. While Stonebwoy sang his Amapiano hit tune Apotheke from the 5th Dimension album released last year, his gifted children, Catherine Jidula Satekla and L Janam Joachim Satekla, jumped on stage.

Meanwhile, here’s the new music video:
