“These Women Need Me,” Nick Cannon Says In A Remix Of Summer Walker’s “Ciara’s Prayer”

Nick Cannon is well-known for a variety of activities, including presenting shows like Wild ‘N Out and America’s Got Talent, fathering a slew of children, and releasing popular music. The 41-year-old rapper recently released The Explicit Tape: Raw & B, in which he gets nasty with friends including Gennis, Jacquees, Brandy, and Hitman Holla.

R&B singer, K. Michelle, is also featured on the 14-track album, lending her vocals to the opening track, “A Player’s Prayer,” which is a reimagining of Summer Walker and Ciara’s 2021 Still Over It hit, “Ciara’s Prayer.” Cannon essentially wrote CiCi’s polar opposite for his rendition.

“Jesus, these women need me / I don’t fully understand everything right now / But I know my steps are ordered,” he begins. “But the enemy has placed this pimpin’ in my path / I’m hurtin’ / There’s purpose in my pain / I need you / I need you to restore my faith in these chicks.”

The song is being released as the multi-hyphenate prepares for the birth of his eighth child, this time with model Bre Tiesi as the mother. Abby De La Rosa, another of Cannon’s baby mothers, is pregnant again, according to recent reports. She gave birth to twins with Cannon nearly a year ago.
