Timi Dakolo Demands Justice For Mohbad; Calls Out Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Others For “High Level Of Wickedness”

Timi Dakolo, a well-known Nigerian singer-songwriter, has penned an ardent open letter demanding justice for the late musician Mohbad. In the letter to Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and other Mohbad supporters, Dakolo denounced the “high level of wickedness” he believed was responsible for Mohbad’s demise. He charged them with torturing Mohbad’s mind throughout his professional life, calling their acts unfair and unforgivable. Dakolo emphasized the need for accountability and urged the authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death thoroughly. He expressed his hope that speaking out would create a safer and more supportive environment for artists in Nigeria.

Part of Dakolo’s letter read,

“It takes a high level of wickedness to torture a person mentally and bring them to ruin. That kind of hatred is close to the devil’s level…making it your life’s goal to frustrate a man until he is no more,” .

He made the case that Mohbad was battling substance misuse and required assistance. But Dakolo claims that Mohbad’s cronies took advantage of him until his suspicious death rather than taking care of him. Dakolo urged officials to investigate the causes of Mohbad’s collapse in-depth and prosecute those at fault. The letter captures mounting demands for the music industry to reject toxicity and support vulnerable artists.
