Tory Lanez Admits To Being Scared For His Life While Serving 10-Year Sentence

According to reports, Tory Lanez is struggling in jail and is “scared for his life” while he serves a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion. The Canadian rapper, presently serving a sentence in North Kern State Prison in Delano, California, reportedly feels threatened and is concerned for his safety.

A source told a media outlet,

“Tory is scared for his life and safety in prison,” “He feels like he is an instant and direct target because of his celebrity status.”

They added:

“He stands in at 5-foot-3, so his size is definitely a setback. He is housed with real hardcore criminals, and murderers. So, he is really hoping that his lawyers will be able to continue to fight for his freedom while still maintaining his innocence. The whole thing is a mess.”

Additionally, according to TMZ, Tory Lanez is imprisoned in “Administrative Segregation” because of his fame, which primarily isolates him from other prisoners. According to reports, Lanez is “escorted to the showers where he bathes by himself,” and “if he chooses to spend time in the yard, he’ll be the only one in the fenced-off area.”

A medium-security facility, North Kern State Prison, is located about 145 miles north of Los Angeles. It shelters 4,000 prisoners and is a welcoming area for new arrivals at the California state jail. The jail has been in the news recently for heinous crimes like murder. Ramon Escobar, 51, was charged with first-degree murder after allegedly strangling Juan Villanueva in February. Villanueva, 53, was imprisoned for aggravated sexual abuse of a kid under 14, while Escobar was already serving three life sentences for past murder convictions.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is looking into Ricardo Saldivar’s murder as a possible homicide after being discovered dead in his cell in July. Several violent events have also taken place between prisoners and correctional officers. Earlier this week, a formerly imprisoned and previously convicted sex offender was found guilty of assaulting two security personnel in July 2020 while conducting a drug check. The Mexican gangs Sureos and Paisas are the most well-known, and the media has claimed that racial and gang tension is frequent inside the prison.
