Usher & Ashanti Celebrate Birthday; Sing For Each Other During Las Vegas Show

After years of working together in the industry, Usher and Ashanti recently got on stage to wish each other a happy birthday. On Saturday, October 14, the singers of “Yeah!” and “Rain on Me,” who were born on October 13 and October 14, celebrated another birthday by getting together on stage in Vegas.

Ashanti turned 43, and Usher turned 45. Despite their shared history in the industry, Ashanti and Usher were never more than just pals. But Nelly and Ashanti are contentedly back together and still going strong. They recently celebrated their union by singing along to Usher’s beloved 1990 song “Nice & Slow.” Nelly made care to identify Ursh in the video when the two performed the 1997 song live on Instagram last month.

Following early-year romance rumours, a source told Entertainment Tonight in May that the ex-couple had patched things up and were now happier than ever. In February, rumours started circulating when they were spotted wearing matching chains. According to two sources, the pair is “enjoying their time together” and “both of them are very happy.”

The former flames were spotted wearing what looked to be similar iced-out Cuban link chains around their necks in a side-by-side shot that was posted on social media. The chains bore a striking resemblance to the ones that Nelly had been wearing to the 2023 Grammy Awards.

Then, at a pool party, Nelly and the former member of Murder Inc. gave a seductive performance of their smash song “Body on Me,” which only served to fan the flames. Video footage from the private concert made it clear that Ashanti and Nelly still had chemistry. Regarding Usher, his upcoming album Coming Home has the song “Good Good,” which has officially been his first Top 30 Billboard Hot 100 smash in almost ten years.

In its eighth week on the chart, the crooner’s 21 Savage and Summer Walker-assisted single rose to No. 28 on the October 14 Hot 100 list. It is also at the top of the Billboard Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart for a second week, marking his first solo No. 1 urban radio success in the previous seven years. With “I Don’t Mind,” featuring Juicy J, Usher’s final Top 30 Billboard hit was achieved in March 2015, peaking at No. 11.
