Victor AD And Bella Shmurda Collaborate On The Uplifting New Track, “Eye Clear”
Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Bella Shmurda, and Victor AD, the Nigerian musician and composer who gained popularity with his smash song “Wetin We Gain,” have collaborated on a new song called “Eye Clear.” The song is an inspirational hit that exhorts listeners to face obstacles head-on and express gratitude for all that they have.
In “Eye Clear,” Victor AD adopts a contemplative stance as he recounts his experiences since launching his musical career in 2014. He openly shares the setbacks and critiques he encountered along the way to success. He tells how jealousy and animosity from others greeted his aspirations. The song is a modern interpretation of a classic, masterfully sampling Oritse Femi and Junglist Boys’ early 2000s smash, Eye Don Clear.
Given that Victor AD and Oritse Femi are both native to the energetic city, there is a double amount of Warri magic. Bella Shmurda delivers the now-iconic opening line of the song, “Tell them say our eyes don clear.” It evokes a mix of joy and melancholy.
After the release of his last single, Holy Water, Victor AD’s second official single of 2024, Eye Clear was produced by the gifted beatmaker Napji. With a contemporary touch, the contagious energy of the original, and the unmistakable connection between Victor AD and Bella Shmurda, the new simple is sure to be another hit song.
