Wizkid’s NYSC Uniform Stirs Up Discussions
Nigerian megastar Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known as Wizkid, was spotted donning an NYSC uniform in a viral video. Yet, this did not surprise some individuals, as several recall Wiz being admitted to Lagos State University in 2008 to pursue a sociology degree in the social sciences faculty. However, Wizkid dropped out of LASU after only a semester to focus on his professional music career.
He was then signed to the Empire Mates Entertainment (EME) record label. Wizkid enrolled again, this time at Lead City University in Ibadan, Oyo State’s administrative capital. He studied International Studies, but he also dropped out. His exact motives for leaving the universities are unknown.
It’s almost common knowledge that Wizkid is a school dropout, which is why many of his fans expressed their surprise at the artist donning an NYSC uniform. Of course, it only means you’re a graduate if you’re wearing the uniform. Some others laughed it off and ran off with the excuse that the fit must be for a music video. In the throwback video, Big Wiz can be seen rocking the NYSC white tee, and the khaki pants finished with the NYSC boots. Take a look at Wiz in an unbelievable form in the clip below.
