YG Plays Down Saweetie Breakup Rumors… For Now; As Ex Kehlani Seems Back In The Mix
Another love triangle seems to be brewing, as, despite the recent flirting comment that rapper YG made on his ex-girlfriend’s Instagram, he has all but categorically denied that he and Saweetie have broken up. The rumours of the couple’s split had been circulating earlier this week, and YG responded to them by posting clips of himself and Saweetie together at a Beyoncé concert. He also added a caption to the post, suggesting that the two are still together. While there has been no official statement from either party regarding the status of their relationship, YG’s recent Instagram posts indicate that the rumours of their breakup may not be accurate. His post read with a caption,
“The only block I’m tryna spin.”
However, on social media, Saweetie and YG were mercilessly ridiculed by many, with many highlighting Saweetie’s uneasy appearance in the video. YG and Saweetie’s peaceful breakup was announced via The Shade Room, and it was believed that they had chosen to remain friends even as it was revealed that their year-long relationship had ended. The two rappers reportedly decided to prioritize their professions over a romantic relationship. Last year, YG and Saweetie were also scheduled to tour with Tyga; however, the shows were abruptly cancelled without any notice. They had previously worked together on Mozzy’s 2022 song “In My Face,” featuring 2 Chainz, before they were even a couple.
