After releasing his most recent album, “Grit & Lust,” Oniyide Azeez, also known as Zinoleesky, made his official debut on the Billboard Charts at significant positions. Six songs from Zinoleesky’s album also debuted and reached high points on the Billboard US Afrobeats Chart. In addition, the singer debuted at number 13 on the Billboard World Albums Chart.
The album’s song “Personal” reached its highest point at number 14, while “Yan Yan Yan” debuted at number 27. Along with “Odinaka,” “Run It Up,” and “Many Roads” with Ayra Starr, “Last Time,” a collaboration with Omah Lay, had its chart debut at number 30. His music career began with the creation of freestyle rap videos that Zino, as he is also known, posted on social media. Usually, he would rap along to instrumental versions of well-known songs or perform covers of the country’s top singles.
He eventually developed a following on social media as more supporters of Afrobeats and Streep Pop sounds expressed appreciation for his songs. He inked a record deal with Marlian Music in 2019, and his Chrome EP quickly became popular. As one of the Afrobeats genre’s defenders in the future, he has recorded singles like Gone Far, Kilofeshe, Ma Pariwo, Wo Wa Mi, and Rocking since 2019.
