Rita Ora’s “You & I” Album Debuts At Top 10 In UK Charts; Becomes Her Highest-Charting Album In Over 10 Years

It’s difficult to imagine an internationally recognized pop star who is frequently captured on camera losing confidence, but Rita Ora did. If you are familiar with Rita Ora, you know she is a British Pop Queen who has been around long enough to be well renowned. She has achieved success with singles like “Let You Love Me,” “Poison,” and “Body on Me.” However, fans might not be aware that the legendary pop star once struggled with self-confidence issues. With the release of her most recent album, “You & I,” which has already begun to gain traction on the charts, she hopes to regain that confidence as she tells her story.

After rocketing to the top spots of the official UK Album Chart, Rita Ora’s new album “You & I” puts the star back into the lights and is in for a treat. The album’s debut at number six made it Ora’s highest-charting album on the chart in more than ten years. It features the singles “You Only Love Me,” “Praising You,” and “Don’t Think Twice.”

She is not a newcomer to the top spots on the chart, though, as her second album, “Phoenix,” peaked at number eleven in 2018, and her first album, “ORA,” peaked at number one in 2012. With the release of “You & I,” Ora and BMG have entered a new partnership in which she will have her own label (and own her masters.)

The album also topped the official Official Record Store Chart, which tracks the week’s top-selling albums in independent record shops across the UK. The 12-track album has credits from Rollo (David Guetta, BTS), Keith Sorrells (John Legend, Demi Lovato), and executive producer Oak Felder (Alicia Keys, Usher, Ariana Grande). Ora is currently working on a star-studded, deluxe version of “You & I” that she’s keeping under wraps. She also plans to continue serving as a judge on “The Voice: Australia.”
